Hotel de La Marine with Anne - Feb. 11, 2022

Today I was invited to see the Al Thani Collection at the Hotel de La Marine with my friend Anne.Anne is French and speaks perfect English but she is incredibly kind to speak French with me. It must be so painful for her - she deserves a medal for patience - LOL! This museum is located at Place de la Concorde. Built in the 18th century and has been the headquarters of France’s navy ministry for over 200 years.The museum is full of treasures like furniture by designer Riesener,famous portraits, gorgeous fabrics - all promoting excellence in 18th century decorative arts.
